As warmer weather arrives, both Germantown and Farmersville are working to ready their pools for the season.
The communities came to an agreement at the beginning of the year to jointly staff the pools. The Farmersville/Jackson Township Family Aquatic Center and the Germantown Aquatic Center will be managed by Devin Stoutenborough, along with four assistant managers, and lifeguards and staff who will be able to work at both facilities.
Germantown Selling Pool Passes
Passes to the Germantown Aquatic Center are currently on sale. In a statement on its Facebook page, the Aquatic Center noted, “The Pool Board decided that, in light of the economic times, pass prices for our residents would not be raised this year.”
Prices for residents are $182 for a family of four. Prices for non-residents are now $254 for a family of four, up from $248 in 2025.

The pool is also booking summer parties. A two-hour party for residents is $250; parties are $300 for non-residents.
The pool has been working since this fall to install new slides for the 2026 season. A permit for the slide is pending from the State.

Germantown has set up an alert system for the community, with a specific option for pool alerts. Register here.
Farmersville Pool to Reopen in 2026
The Farmersville pool did not open in 2025 due to staffing issues, but with the joint staffing plan in place, it is set to open this summer. The Village and Township say they will be selling passes soon, and they are investigating options for online sales.
In their April meetings, both the Village and Jackson Township voted to close the baby pool, which had been having trouble with leaks and water quality during the 2024 summer season.

The main pool offers a zero entry section, which can be a place for young children to enjoy the water with supervision.
Farmersville Seeks Input on Pool Future and Levy
To help plan for the future of the Farmersville/Jackson Township Family Aquatic Center, beyond 2026, the Village and Township will jointly host two community meetings to gather feedback.
The community meetings will be held at the Community Center next to the pool.

The current pool levy is set to expire at the end of 2026, and the Village and Township want to solicit community input before putting another levy on the ballot.

In a response to Facebook comments criticizing the Village for collecting taxes but not opening the pool in 2025, the Village commented, “This year we have paired with Germantown Aquatics Center. There are nearly 61 applicants between the 2 entities. Staffing will be divided and operations will commence. The intent of this message is to invite taxpayers to see what the underlying issues are of the public pool that yes you do pay for.”
The Village and Jackson Township are working to develop a future plan for the Farmersville/Jackson Township Joint Park and the pool. They received a research report at the beginning of the year from a team at Miami University, which noted the growing popularity and ease of access of splash pads.
