To boost staffing and provide more opportunities for local youth, the Farmersville/Jackson Township Family Aquatic Center and the Germantown Aquatic Center will be managed and staffed jointly this summer.
The plan, approved by the City of Germantown, the Village of Farmersville, and Jackson Township, calls for a single manager for both pools, four assistant managers, and lifeguards and staff who will be able to work at both facilities.
Last summer, the pool in Farmersville was unable to open due to a lack of applicants for manager and lifeguard positions. This joint staffing approach is designed to keep both pools staffed and safe for swimmers.
At a joint meeting of the Farmersville Village Council and the Jackson Township Trustees this week, they made plans to bring back the Park Board and discussed a proposed levy for the fall that will fund improvements to the Farmersville pool. The pool is in shape to open this summer.
Both pools will retain separate membership passes. Passes for the Germantown Aquatic Center are now on sale with early bird 2025 prices through March 9.
