Riders of every skill level can register for the annual Twisted Pretzel Bike Ride on September 26. The event, now in its 13th year, has contributed over $120,000 to local food pantries.

The ride includes four lengths, the shortest 8 miles, and the longest 47 miles. The route has changed somewhat from years past due to construction on the historical Germantown Covered Bridge.

“Whether it is to ride with family along the country-side, race against your friends, enjoy a new scenic route, or try for a personal best, the Twisted Pretzel Tour has something for everyone,” the Twisted Pretzel Committee stated.

The ride, which starts in Germantown, takes participants through German and Jackson Townships. Drivers should note the route signs and share the road.

The ride will end at the Germantown Pretzel Festival and the Twisted Pretzel Biergarten at the event.

The Twisted Pretzel will include multiple stops with restrooms and, of course, pretzels to snack on. Stops are planned for the base of the Germantown Dam on Creek Road, the Farmersville/Jackson Township Joint Park and an additional stop for the longest riders at Slifers Presbyterian Church on Clayton Road.
