Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith is partnering with the Germantown Public Library to host an Auditor's Community Forum about the county's 2026 property reappraisal.

The event at the Germantown Library is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 5:30–6:30 pm.

The free forum will give residents an opportunity to learn more about this year's reappraisal process, how property values are determined and what steps they can take if they have questions about their property's value. The presentation will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

"The reappraisal affects every property owner in Montgomery County, and we want residents to have every opportunity to understand the process," said Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith. "These forums give us a chance to explain how values are determined, answer questions and help property owners better understand what to expect throughout the reappraisal."

The Auditor's Office is required by the State of Ohio to conduct a countywide reappraisal every six years. The 2026 reappraisal reflects changes in the local real estate market and ensures property values remain fair and equitable throughout Montgomery County.

Tentative value notices are now being mailed to property owners. Property owners who have questions about their new value may request a free informal review with an appraiser by phone or Zoom during July and August by visiting www.mcreval.org or calling the Property Owner Hotline at (937) 224-8927.

Residents are also encouraged to attend one of the Auditor's Community Forums to learn more about the reappraisal process and ask questions about their property's new value.
