The Valley View Hall of Fame inducted four new members before the varsity boys basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Retired administrator Todd Kozarec hosted the ceremony to induct:
Barry Focht - The voice of Valley View football (Focht was unable to attend)
Tom Sears - Valley View’s first Mr. Basketball
Butch Stidham - Longtime Spartan coach
Eleven state champion football players from the class of 1998

Class of 1998 State Football Champions and Coaches Niswonger and Good
A reception followed the event, sponsored by the Farmersville, Germantown and Valley View Alumni Associations and the school district.
Honorees were selected by a committee of alumni, including Glen Bowman (2006 inductee), Carol (Gephart) Root, Carol (Helsinger) Moore, Tom Winning, Jack Risner, Devin Stoutenborough, and building representative Beth Thomas. Shannon Longman served as event chair.

The Valley View Hall of Fame inducted its first members in 1992 and has now honored 71 individual alumni and 6 teams.
Every two years, the Hall of Fame honors alumni of Farmersville, Germantown and Valley View schools. The next nominations are due in December 2027, with the ceremony in February 2028. The nomination form asks for examples of meritorious personal accomplishment, athletic achievement, professional achievements and service.
