Aveon Stevens and Caesar Berryman III were named Spartan royalty during the 2026 Miss Basketball ceremony during the varsity basketball game on Friday, Jan. 16.
Aveon is the daughter of Ebony Stevens. Her activities include varsity basketball, Varsity track, FCCLA, National Honor Society, and Project Charlie.
Ceasar is the son of Lydia Berryman. Ceasar’s activities include varsity football, National Art Honor Society, and FFA.
Royal Court
Following school tradition, 2025 Miss Basketball Reese Riley and King Bradley Russell crowned the new royalty.
Reese was escorted by Anthony Valenti, son of Michael and Angie Valenti. His activities include football, basketball, track and field, NHS, Hope Squad, Disc Golf, Project Charlie, and FCA.
The court included crown bearer, Easton Dillon, son of Mandi Dillon and the late Matt Dillon. Easton is currently in pre-K at St. James and will be attending Valley View Kindergarten in the fall. The second crown bearer was Taylor Kramer, son of Lucas and Alexis Kramer. Taylor is in first grade in Mrs. Sacks’ class.
The flower girl was Rowen Travisano, daughter of Tony and Taylor Travisano. Rowen is in first grade in Mrs. Davis’ class.
Freshman Attendants
The first freshman attendant was Macy McCabe, daughter of Tony and Rebecca McCabe. Her activities include JV volleyball and freshman basketball cheerleading.
Macy was escorted by Trey Reed, the son of Jesse and Amanda Reed. His activities include football, basketball, baseball, student council, Hope Squad, FFA, FCA, and football leadership council.
The second freshman attendant was Bella Oblinger, daughter of Christian and Angie Oblinger. Her activities include varsity soccer, JV basketball, secretary of the freshman class, FCCLA, and student leadership.
Bella was escorted by Noah Focht, son of Aaron and Renee Focht. Noah is involved in football, basketball, and baseball.
Sophomore Attendants
The first sophomore attendant was Carleigh Henson, daughter of Bryce and Sheree Henson. Her activities include basketball, volleyball, FCA, student leadership, and student council.
Carleigh was escorted by Garrett Brewer, son of Shane and Monica Brewer. His activities include football and basketball.
The second sophomore attendant was Ellen Newell, daughter of Robyn Swensen and Bryan Newell. Her activities include soccer, basketball, FFA, FCA, Interact, student leadership, and National Art Honor Society.
Ellen was escorted by Jackson Dearth, son of Ross and Elizabeth Dearth. His activities include golf and basketball.
Junior Attendants
The first junior attendant was Ava Gehron, daughter of Damon and Heather Gehron. Her activities include varsity basketball, varsity soccer, track, student leadership, FCCLA, FCA, National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.
Ava was escorted by Brody Denny, son of Rick and Chris Denny. His activities include golf and basketball.
The second junior attendant was Scarlett Holp, daughter of Ryan and Lean Holp, and Ashlee Grubbs. Her activities include varsity basketball, National Honor Society, and FCCLA.
Scarlett was escorted by Parker McKenzie, son of Randy and Fanny McKenzie, and Sarah and Mike Tyra. His activities include varsity football, FCA, and FCCLA.
Senior Candidates and Escorts
Queen candidate Kaylee Sargent is the daughter of Kelsey and Jesse Sargent. Kaylee’s activities include varsity tennis, varsity basketball, National Honor Society, Student Council, Interact, National Art Honor Society, Project Charlie and FCCLA.
Kaylee was escorted by King candidate Landon Ramsey and senior Eli Gilbert. Eli is the son of Chad and Lucy Gilbert. His activities include varsity soccer, varsity track, FCA, FFA, and National Honor Society. King candidate Landon Ramsey is the son of Ben and Tonya Ramsey. Landon’s activities include basketball and FFA.
Queen Aveon was escorted by King candidate Adam Dickson and senior Boaz Fleenor. Boaz is the son of Mike and Carleen Fleenor. He is involved in football. King Candidate Adam Dickson is the son of Jill and Steve Dickson. Adam’s activities include varsity basketball.
Queen candidate Marin Weibel is the daughter of Ken and Meredith Weibel. Her activities include cross country, track, Hope Squad, National Honor Society, and FCA.
Marin was escorted by King Ceasar and senior Evan Shade. Evan is the son of Amber and Kevin Gallimore, and Travis and Sara Shade. His activities include varsity football manager, FFA, VVHS Coffee Shop, the KNL 4-H club, and he is a Yaskawa Work Study Intern.
