The Germantown Lions Club is hosting a Memorial Day tribute to veterans and those who died serving our country.
The event will start at Veterans Memorial Park in Germantown with a program of music by the Valley View Spartan Marching Band, speakers from the City and Lions Club, and a performance by the Valley View Chamber Choir. Boy Scout Troop 29 and Cub Scout Pack 409 will raise the flag.
Major Randall W. Klotz, a retired member of the U.S. Air Force will be the keynote speaker.
After the program at Veterans Memorial Park, the event will move to Germantown Union Cemetery following a walk by participating organizations. Girl Scout Troop 3244 and 3377 will join Daisy Troop 3766 in raising the flag at the cemetery. Erroll Kelhoffer will recite the Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln. Attendees will be provided flowers to place on graves.
