Current members and alumni of the KNL 4-H Club are celebrating the club’s 100th anniversary in 2026. The club received recognition at the Montgomery County Fair, participated in the Germantown July 4th parade and received a proclamation from German Township Trustees.
4-H was started in 1902 by A.B. Graham in Clark County, Ohio. KNL was originally established as the Angus calf club and was commissioned in 1926 by Harold Judy, beginning a century-long tradition of educating, mentoring, and encouraging young people through 4-H.

KNL, which stands for Knowledge N Learning, has grown to become one of the oldest 4-H clubs in Montgomery County and proudly holds the distinction of being the oldest 4-H club in German Township.
Throughout its 100-year history, KNL has provided generations of young people with the opportunity to develop responsibility, leadership, knowledge, character, confidence, and practical skills while learning the value of service to their club, community, country, and the world.

In its proclamation, the German Township Board of Trustees says it “recognizes organizations such as KNL play an important role in preparing the next generation of community leaders, preserving the values of hard work, responsibility, cooperation, service, and leadership.”
