The Valley View School District is facilitating a program to provide extra assistance to local families during the holidays.
In an announcement, the District said, “We understand that some families may need extra support to celebrate. We are here to help connect those who need support with those in the community wanting to give.”
Families can request meal support for November and gifts and clothing for their children enrolled in Valley View. The District will share a list of organizations providing food support and provide volunteers with information to purchase gifts.

The District said in its announcement that all names will be kept confidential. The District’s Student Success specialist will coordinate with families and then pass along basic information to those offering assistance, ensuring that privacy is respected.
The District plans to have all requests completed by 12/11/2026, and all pick-ups completed by 12/18/26.
“Your family's well-being is our priority, and we are here to help make this holiday season a little brighter,” Valley View said in its announcement.
Families in need should complete the support request form by Nov. 9. After completing the form, participants will receive confirmation from the Student Success specialist that their submission was received.
If requesting gifts and clothing, each child will be linked with a sponsor for items to be purchased. The District has asked that sponsors spend approximately $75 per child; no gift cards will be given.
Once all items for a family are purchased, the Student Success specialist will reach back to families requesting assistance to coordinate pickup times.
