The January 5 Germantown City Council meeting started with the swearing in of returning Mayor Terry Johnson and returning Council members Michael Kuhn, Robert Rettich IV and Brian Wafzig by local Judge Alyse Rettich. Wafzig was voted president of the Council.

While the elected seats were filled, the City has open positions on its City Beautiful Commission, Park Board and Pool Board. Residents interested in serving should complete the application form and send to Kelli Novak at [email protected].

Council members also commended the new Germantown Union Cemetery website for its appearance and easily accessible content, featuring digitized burial records and maps.
