The Germantown Speedway gas station on Route 4 was robbed on Sept. 29 at 1:30 am. Due to quick work by Germantown Police, a suspect has been arrested.

According to a press release by Germantown Police, “The investigation led Germantown Police detectives to an address in the Catalina Trailer Park in Middletown.”

“With assistance from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, TCSU, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Marsean Holt of Dayton was taken into custody.”

Holt was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with one count of robbery, a second-degree felony. He is being held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

He was arraigned on Monday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Holt has a string of charges on his record dating back nearly a decade, including multiple counts of burglary, receiving stolen property, domestic violence and using weapons while intoxicated.

The City’s announcement also said, “Chief Matthew Burns would like to thank our assisting agencies and the officers of the Germantown Police Department for their diligent work, which resulted in this case being solved and a suspect being taken into custody within 12 hours of the robbery.”
