September 25 or 9/25 will be recognized as Dolly Parton Day in Germantown, in memory of the singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist.
Mayor Terry Johnson will hold a proclamation ceremony at 5 pm at City Hall on Plum Street.
The ceremony will honor Dolly Parton’s life with the playing of her hit “9 to 5,” the introduction and reading of a proclamation by Mayor Johnson and will conclude with the playing of another of her memorable songs, “I Will Always Love You.”

Germantown City Hall has been decorated with pink ribbons since late August, “in remembrance of the late Dolly Parton and her incredible positive influence.”
