Germantown's Founders Day is coming up Sunday, August 2, noon to 6 pm at Veterans Memorial Park.
The event by the Historical Society of Germantown will feature a tug-of-war between Germantown Police and Germantown Fire and EMS, starting at 2:30 pm.
Community members can also enjoy performances by:
Shade Tree Pickers blue grass band, noon-2 pm
Gary D. Reece, 3:30-5:30 pm
Children will enjoy:
Free face painting will begin at 12:30-2:30 pm
Ohio fossils activity from 1:30-3:30 pm
Sidewalk chalk art and bubbles
Inside the old train depot, pies, ice cream, brownies, and bomb pops will be available for purchase. More food vendors will be located around Veterans Park.
Bring your lawn chairs and plan to spend the day celebrating the founding of Germantown in 1804 and America's 250th anniversary at this FREE community event.
