Germantown Fire-EMS are hosting a 5K night run and 1 mile night walk on Saturday, August 29 at Kercher Park.

The first responders are working to raise funds to purchase new workout equipment for Station 63.

Beginning at the Pavilion, there will be ample parking, along with music, snacks, hydration, and the start/finish line. The course takes runners on the beautiful community walking path where they will go past the basketball courts, alongside the disc golf course, through the park then turn around for an "out and back" finish!

There is also a 1-mile walk option for those just beginning a new fitness journey or who would just like to finish the day with a fun and glowing walk with friends!

The award ceremony will take place right after the last person finishes. Families are welcome to play at the park as well! There will be glow sticks, light up glasses, flashing lights, and more! Several food trucks will also be at the park.

“We are hoping to get a great turnout from the community, even if they are not in the event itself,” said firefighter Seth Carpenter.

“We'll have a few food trucks on site like Victory Lane Pizza and Be Still and Chill Shaved Ice. We wanted to find something fun and unique for an event for the community and to promote health and well-being.”

Registration is $25 and will include a shirt, swag pack and glow items. Register here.
