Germantown Fire & EMS prevailed over Germantown Police in a tug-of-war contest at the August 2 Founders Day event.
At the August City Council meeting, Mayor Terry Johnson presented the Guns vs Hoses Trophy to Fire Chief Josh Forrer, noting the heft of the trophy and the police and fire bobbleheads mounted on top
The trophy is designed to be a traveling award for what is set to be an annual contest between the two organizations.
City Council Member Michael Kuhn congratulated the Fire Department in his meeting remarks, joking, “As the chair of Fire Oversight, I feel I’d be remiss if I didn’t congratulate Chief Forrer on his championship. The man gets a job, and three months later he’s got a trophy.”
