In their June meeting, German Township Trustees announced they are accepting nominations for their third annual Lifetime Service Award.
Nominations can be submitted to Township Trustee Jake Stubbs, [email protected], before the July 13 meeting.

Past recipients include retired Valley View principal and long-time member of the Germantown Lions Club, Frank Kozarec.

Kozarec was recognized at the July 2025 Trustees meeting, with a declaration that July 14th, 2025, is Frank Kozarec Day in German Township.
The Germantown Lions said in a Facebook post, “We are incredibly proud of Frank and his unwavering dedication to the Valley View community. His contributions and commitment serve as an inspiration to us all.”

The award’s first recipient was Fred Glander, who was honored at the May 2024 German Township Trustees meeting.
According to the meeting minutes, Glander was honored “for his lifetime of service and dedication to our community, giving his time and energy to the betterment of German Township. Mr. Glander served on the German Township Zoning Commission for over 60 years and hosted the children of Valley View School District at his farm for many years, instilling progress, pride, and preservation for future generations.”
