As part of International Women’s Day, Dayton Live is hosting a free screening of the ThinkTV documentary “Let Ohio Women Vote,” followed by a panel discussion featuring Rachel Sussman (producer of the Tony Award®-winning musical SUFFS), Maureen O’Connor (retired Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court and former Lieutenant Governor), and Ann Rotolante (documentary filmmaker).
The event will take place at the Victoria Theater in downtown Dayton, March 8 at 1pm.
The documentary tells the story of the long fight for women’s suffrage in Ohio – a fight that created unpredictable alliances as well as surprising connections to national events.
The event will also feature the “Ohio Women Vote: 100 Years Of Change” exhibit created by Ohio History Connection.
Members of the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area will be present at the event to register voters. The League’s mission is to encourage informed and active participation in government.
This event is FREE to attend, but tickets are required.
