First Baptist Church of Germantown overlooks Veterans Memorial Park and pledges that visitors will be “nourished by the Word of God.”
The church participates in the life of the community by leveraging its parking lot for the Pretzel Festival and hosting an annual chili cookoff where they crown a winning king (and queen).
“Our church feels like a family,” Pastor Carmack said. “We still sing hymnals, have altar calls, and love and appreciate everyone that comes through the door. I still preach out of the King James Version of the Bible.”
“We are a church that feels like a family when you attend,” he added.
