David Zechar graduated from Valley View High School in 1971. He was in the first class to attend the new high school all four years, but his life was destined to include many more important milestones.
By 1975, Zechar was working for ABC News as a broadcast engineer. He was a member of the White House Press Corp and traveled with President Gerald Ford.

Zechar received two Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards for his contributions to ABC News stories.
