The home of the Farmersville Cafe has new owners as of Feb. 11. Rick and Dorene Moore of Farmersville purchased the building at 47-49 E. Center Street, which houses the restaurant and the connected medical facility.

According to the Montgomery County Auditor’s website, the property was purchased for $137,500.

The property had recently been donated to the Dayton Foundation by Gallaher Properties I, LLC, owned by Donna Thie, formerly of Farmersville. The Dayton Foundation website notes, “gifts of real estate entitle you to a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the property.”

The property was sold at auction in January and had been appraised at $340,000. The parcel includes .27 acres and 6,380 square feet of commercial space in both buildings.

The Moores have not announced their plans for the property, but Farmersville Cafe remains open.
