Montgomery County residents can dispose of large appliances for free, Oct. 1–3, at the Montgomery County Solid Waste District Transfer & Recycling Facility.

Residents can bring up to five large appliances with proof of residency.

The Montgomery County Solid Waste District Transfer & Recycling Facility is located at 1001 Encrete Lane, Moraine.

The facility is open:
Oct. 1–2: 6 a.m.–7 p.m.
Oct. 3: 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

Accepted items include refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters and stoves. The County will safely remove refrigerants and recycle metal components.

Microwaves, small countertop appliances and outdoor grills are accepted for a nominal fee.
