The July 11 Major Taylor Dayton Signature bike ride will include a stop at the Farmersville Fire Association.
A representative from the Major Taylor Cycling Club of Dayton visited the June Farmersville Village Council meeting to thank the community for welcoming them.
The ride is named for Major Taylor, who was the 1899 World Champion and the first international Black star athlete. Similar rides are being held by clubs across the country.
Registration is still open for the ride, which features various courses and starts at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.
