Do you bake the best pie in Montgomery County? Or maybe your skills are in photography, needlepoint, or even gift wrapping? All of these and many more can be entered in the 2026 Montgomery County Fair, which takes place July 14-19.
For around $2 per entry, you can show off your skills in cookie baking, quilting and vegetable growing, or showcase your antique collections.

Anyone in Montgomery County can make entries in the County Fair. Ribbons and premiums are given to the top entries across six departments:
Farm & Garden - vegetables, tallest corn stalk, flowers, homemade wine, scarecrows and more
Household Arts - quilts, Christmas decorations, embroidery, homemade clothing, gift wrapping, gift in a jar and more
Fine Arts - artwork, photography, ceramics, homemade jewelry, antiques, collectibles and more
Provisions - breads, cakes, candy, cookies, decorated cakes, barbeque sauce and more

Entries (not the actual items) are due June 24. Costs for entries range from $2-10. Walk-in entries are accepted at the Fair Administration Office at 580 Calumet Lane, Monday-Friday, 9 am - 4 pm. Note that the office will be closed on June 19 for the Juneteenth federal holiday.

Online entries are accepted. Review the 2026 Fairbook to identify departments and categories and see the rules. The online entry portal is called “Open Class” and users will need to register online and make a FairEntry exhibitor account.
There are sub-categories for junior entries and some for senior citizens.

After registering by the June 24 deadline, participants need to bring their items to the fairgrounds. Be sure to review the rules in the 2026 Fairbook for the dates and times entries are accepted in the days before the fair starts.

Plan to visit the Montgomery County Fair, July 14-19 to see how your entries did. Fair entry is NOT included in your exhibit fee.
Participants need to return to the fair to pick up items after the event is over. Be sure to review the 2026 Fairbook for the dates and times of pick-up. Items and ribbons can be picked up at this time. Premium checks for first through third place will be mailed.
