In its December 1 meeting, the City of Germantown Council voted to reduce the speed limit on Cherry Street to 25. The decision is based on designating Cherry Street as a residential street.

City officials confirmed that the updates go into effect 30 days after the ordinance and when Safety crews have the opportunity to update the speed limit signs. The speed limit signs on Cherry Street remain at 35 as of publication.
