Valley View High School senior Austin Johnson earned national recognition through standout performances at two prestigious Under Armour/Baseball Factory events in 2025.
Johnson was invited to the Under Armour/Baseball Factory Next Prospect Tour
in Sandusky, Ohio. The invite-only event featured 69 uncommitted high school players from across the United States, divided into teams competing in front of college coaches and professional evaluators.
According to his family, Johnson batted an impressive .429 over the weekend, collecting a double and an electrifying inside-the-park home run. He drove in three runs, stole four bases, and showcased his defensive skills in center field by throwing out a runner attempting to score at the plate.

The strong showing earned Johnson an invitation to an even bigger stage—the
Under Armour/Baseball Factory Next National Prospects Games—held December
27–30 at Pirate City, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ spring training complex in Bradenton,
Florida.
After trying out for several local colleges and branch campuses—and earning roster spots at each—Johnson has decided to attend Edison State Community College, where he will continue his education and compete at the collegiate level.
